Celebrations

Murray Education Foundation presently supports two celebration programs: The Annual Pinnacle Awards and the Murray City School District’s Annual Employee Awards.

Pinnacle Awards

Each year the entire city of Murray is invited to nominate certified educators (teachers, counselors, psychologist, social workers, and administrators), classified employees, and volunteers for the community’s more prestigious honor.

From the nominations (usually in the hundreds), a selection committee reviews and makes final decisions on five certified educators, one classified employee, and one volunteer. Every other year, an administrator is also chosen.

Murray City School District Annual Employee Awards

MEF also funds celebrations honoring educators, education support professionals, and classified employees from each school. These are nominated by selection committees at each school and put before a final selection committee at the District office, who will choose one from each of the three groups to be honored.
