Professional Development Grants

Like all professional educators, Murray Education Foundation believes in the power of learning – even a commitment to a life of continuous improvement and growth. We aspire to that in our students, and ourselves, modeling a love for learning, curiosity, and exploration.

To that end, MEF partners with long-time and beloved Murray physician Dr. Maurice Baker to provide annual funding to Murray educators who exemplify the life and example of his late spouse, Laura Baker.

Laura was a former Murray Board of Education member who often bestowed and supported the virtues of continuing education among her colleagues and faculty at Murray City School District. This endowment, named her memory, is presented to several recipients each year, by selection at the District Office.

Submissions

Please note that the application and award process moved from the Fall of each year to February/March, giving applicants more time to select a training of interest for the following school year (June 1 to May 31).

Interested teachers are invited to contact the MEF Executive Director for more information until the Application is posted here each year.
