MEF Supports Quality Education in Unlimited Ways.
Murray Education Foundation pulls out all the stops to support a public education environment and culture that is meaningful and powerful for educators and students.
This means we are often approached about different ideas and ways in which we can serve the Murray education community.
Here are a few examples:
The Kennecott Nature Center provides opportunities for thousands of children from Murray City School District classes to enjoy observing and learning about nature through hands-on experiences and observations.
The Buy-A-Brick Program (now concluded), created legacy funding for MEF projects by selling donor-inscribed bricks that are permanently placed on a wall in the northeast corridor of Murray High School.
The Business Partnership Program has evolved to many different models over the years. At present, MEF partners with local businesses (mostly Murray-based) that seek to support individual schools through support of teacher and student achievement recognitions. This includes directed school contributions, sponsorships, and other supports.
The MEF Grant Writing Program represents the Foundations efforts to seek unique corporate or non-profit grants in the form of cash support or in-kind donations. These grants have supported after-school programs, student wellness centers, commodity pantries, and more.
