Murray Education Foundation Unveils Dynamic Lineup to Support Classrooms and Communities

Building on the momentum of a record-breaking year that brought in over $700,000 in cash donations, the Murray Education Foundation (MEF) has announced its calendar of marquee events for the 2026-27 school year. In these lean economic times of funding, the foundation remains a critical link for the Murray City School District, generating resources that make vital initiatives possible.
This year's efforts kick off on August 28 with the 28th Annual MEF Golf Tournament at the Murray Parkway Golf Course, raising critical funds for innovative classroom grants. Heading into the holiday season, the community will gather on November 13 for the Angel Tree Campaign Kickoff at Fashion Place Mall, an initiative that previously provided essentials and gifts to over 600 students.
Winter sports and celebration take center stage early next year. On February 18-19, the 3rd Annual Pickleball Fundraiser will return to the Murray Sports Mall , with every volley directly funding Murray High School's nationally acclaimed Unified Sports program. Then on March 11, the foundation will host its premier gala event: the 24th Annual Pinnacle Awards, honoring excellence in education.
Through these targeted campaigns, MEF is looking to expand its community footprint even further. Proceeds will allow the foundation to award additional college scholarships to graduating seniors, bolster student healthcare initiatives, and sustain critical student support infrastructure that would otherwise be impossible for the district to fund independently. Above all, these milestones serve to recognize and support the incredible work of Murray's dedicated educators, administrators, and support professionals who foster excellence across every classroom.
