Laura Baker Professional Learning Grant

photo of Laura BakerNamed and founded in memory of long-time Murray Board of Education member Laura Baker. During her years of service to the Murray City School District, Mrs. Baker expressed a strong desire to provide Murray teachers and other licensed professional staff with more opportunities to attend conferences or workshops, or acquire training and new skills to help strengthen instructional methods in ways that would positively impact student learning.

Submission applications open the first business day of February and conclude the last business day of February each year. Upon completion of the form below, applicants will be reviewed by a committee of district personnel with consideration for demonstrated need and several defined areas of teaching. The committee will select between two and eight applicants, depending on request costs and available funds. Recipients will be approved by the MEF Board of Directors in March and applicants will be notified of the final decision.
