Fundraisers

Murray Education Foundation is proud to sponsor three separate fundraisers that collectively support our districtwide classroom grant program and the Unified Sports program at Murray High School. Along with creating meaningful and fun memories, these events are a celebration of our educators, students, and community – demonstrating the incredible power of working together for an impactful common purpose.

Learn more about the success of these grants by seeing them in action through our impact stories located here.

  • The Murray Education Foundation (MEF) Annual Golf Tournament is a cornerstone Foundation event that elevates learning experiences for students and educators of the Murray City School District. A long-standing tradition, this is the only tournament sponsored by Murray City’s Lynn F. Pett Murray Parkway Golf Course, connecting our business, civic and community leaders with a fun yet profound purpose.

100% of the net proceeds from the tournament fund the Foundation’s Classroom Grant program that provides $500 stipends for teachers to give students extra learning experiences outside their limited budget. This empowers them to explore classroom innovations, organize hands-on or experiential learning, and give Murray students otherwise impossible opportunities.

  • The Murray Education Foundation Charity Pickleball Tournament is a lively, community-focused sporting event dedicated to raising funds for local students and classrooms. This round-robin doubles competition offers divisions for Mixed, Men's, and Women's teams across Beginning and Intermediate skill levels, guaranteeing multiple games of friendly competition for all participants. All proceeds from team registration directly benefit the Murray City School District’s Unified Sports programs and provide grants for Special Education Classrooms, turning a fun day of pickleball into a tangible investment in the future of the community's children. CLICK HERE FOR DETAILS

  • Since 2004, the Murray community has been invited annually to nominate seven exceptional individuals—specifically five Outstanding Certified Educators (including teachers, administrators, and counselors), one Classified Employee (such as secretaries and custodians), and one Volunteer—for their performance and service. The public nomination period runs from the beginning of December through the end of January, with submissions reviewed by a special selection committee; the chosen finalists are then publicly announced in February and celebrated at a special gala in March, where they receive public accolades and recognition, including tributes from their students, colleagues, sponsors, and family. CLICK HERE FOR DETAILS
