Expanding Classrooms Beyond Four Walls

With the ever-rising costs of transportation, school budgets are being stretched thinner than ever before. For Mrs. Sanchez and her 6th-grade team at Parkside Elementary, the high cost of buses threatened to keep their students from experiencing essential hands-on learning opportunities outside the classroom.
Recognizing the value of experiential learning, the Murray Education Foundation (MEF) stepped in to provide the necessary funding. This grant directly covered the transportation costs, ensuring that budget constraints didn't stand in the way of student exploration.
Our Parkside 6th graders successfully traveled to both Red Butte Garden and the Natural History Museum of Utah! Students had an amazing time exploring local ecology and ancient history, creating memories and educational connections that simply can't be replicated in a textbook.
None of this would be possible without the incredible generosity of our MEF donors. Because of you, we can bridge the gap between rising costs and student opportunities. Want to help fund the next adventure? Your donations directly impact Murray students by making experiences like this possible.
