Hillcrest Jr. High PE Teacher Missy Rose leveraged funding from MEF to purchase an Ultimania activity set for her classes. Ultimania is a fun and inclusive team game that is played much like the sport of Ultimate Frisbee.
Teams work together to advance their ball down the play area and throw it through the 36” dia goal. Players can only have possession for 10 seconds before passing or attempting to score; any longer and possession goes to the other team! Along with physical activity, games like Ultimania teach students teamwork and rapid decision-making – a perfect complement to important academic and life skills.
MEF partners with the community to fund educator grants that help students grow. If your business would like to sponsor with MEF, bringing to life a love for learning with Murray kids, contact Doug Perry at 801-264-7400.
